Privacy Policy

Preschool Campers respects the privacy of the families, community members, partners, and visitors who interact with us.

This Privacy Policy explains how Preschool Campers (“Preschool Campers,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information through www.preschoolcampers.com, our online forms, email communications, interest lists, and related digital services.

Preschool Campers is currently developing a parent-present family Learning Lab in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

1. Our Privacy Principles

We believe family learning should not require unnecessary collection of personal information.

Our approach is to:

  • collect only information reasonably needed for a specific purpose;

  • primarily collect information from adults;

  • avoid collecting unnecessary child-specific information;

  • be transparent about how information is used;

  • use reasonable safeguards to protect information;

  • give individuals reasonable ways to update or request deletion of their information; and

  • avoid selling personal information.

2. Information We May Collect

We may collect information that you voluntarily provide to us, such as:

Adult contact information

  • name;

  • email address;

  • telephone number, if provided;

  • ZIP code or general geographic area.

Family-interest information

When an adult joins the Founding Camper Wonder List, registers for an event, participates in research or provides feedback, we may ask for general information such as:

  • broad child age ranges;

  • approximate number of children who may attend;

  • types of Preschool Campers experiences that interest the family;

  • preferred days or times to visit;

  • approximate travel willingness;

  • interest in memberships, day passes, workshops, birthdays or pop-up experiences;

  • feedback about what a family would value in Preschool Campers.

We intentionally ask for age ranges rather than children's birthdates whenever practical.

At this stage, we do not need families to provide children's full names, schools, medical information, diagnoses, precise location information or other unnecessary child-specific data through the Wonder List.

Communications

If you contact us, we may retain the information contained in your email, message, inquiry or other communication so that we can respond and maintain appropriate business records.

Website and technical information

Our website platform and service providers may automatically collect information such as:

  • IP address;

  • browser or device type;

  • pages visited;

  • date and time of visits;

  • referring website;

  • interactions with the website;

  • cookie or similar technology information.

We may use this information for website operation, security, analytics and improvement.

3. How We Use Information

We may use personal information to:

  • respond to questions or requests;

  • manage the Founding Camper Wonder List;

  • invite interested adults to Preschool Campers pop-ups or future events;

  • send Preschool Campers news and opening updates when the individual has requested them;

  • understand where interested families generally live;

  • understand demand for different experiences, schedules and services;

  • improve our website, programming and business model;

  • plan capacity and future locations;

  • administer registrations, reservations or purchases if those features are offered;

  • protect the security and integrity of our website and systems;

  • maintain appropriate business records; and

  • comply with applicable legal obligations.

We may also use aggregated or de-identified information to understand community interest and business trends when that information does not reasonably identify an individual.

4. Children's Privacy

Preschool Campers serves families, but our website, interest forms, mailing lists and other general online business forms are intended for adults.

Children should not independently submit personal information through our website or online forms.

If you are under 13, please do not provide personal information to Preschool Campers online. A parent or legal guardian should communicate with us on your behalf.

We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information online directly from children under 13 without appropriate parental involvement or consent.

Parents and caregivers completing Preschool Campers forms may provide limited general information about their family, such as broad child age ranges or the number of children likely to attend. We seek to collect only what is reasonably necessary for planning and family services.

If we learn that personal information was submitted directly by a child in a manner inconsistent with this policy, we may delete it.

A parent or legal guardian who believes Preschool Campers has personal information directly relating to their child may contact us at preschoolcampers@gmail.com.

COPPA requires covered operators to obtain parental consent before collecting certain personal information online from children under 13, and Colorado also provides heightened protection for minors' online data.

5. No Sale of Personal Information

Preschool Campers does not sell personal information for money.

Preschool Campers does not knowingly sell minors' personal information.

We also do not intend to use minors' personal information for targeted advertising.

If our use of advertising, analytics or third-party technology materially changes in the future, we will review and update this Policy and implement appropriate consent or opt-out mechanisms.

6. Service Providers

We may use reputable third-party service providers to help operate Preschool Campers.

Depending on the services we use, these may include:

  • Wix, which hosts and operates our website;

  • Google, if we use Google Forms, Google Workspace or related tools;

  • email or customer-relationship-management providers;

  • booking or event-registration services;

  • payment processors;

  • analytics providers;

  • accounting or business software providers.

These companies may process information according to their own privacy policies and their agreements with Preschool Campers.

Wix explains that its sites may use cookies for security, site operation, member functions and analytics, and it recommends that website owners provide visitors information about cookie use.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies.

Some cookies are necessary for the website to function securely and properly. Other cookies may support analytics, preferences or marketing.

Where appropriate, Preschool Campers will provide visitors with a cookie-consent mechanism for nonessential cookies.

You may also manage cookies through your browser settings.

See our Cookie Notice for additional information.

8. Email Communications

If you choose to join the Founding Camper Wonder List or another Preschool Campers mailing list, we may send you:

  • pop-up invitations;

  • Preschool Campers updates;

  • opening news;

  • program announcements;

  • community stories;

  • surveys or feedback opportunities.

You may unsubscribe from promotional email at any time using the unsubscribe link in the message or by contacting us.

We may still send non-promotional communications reasonably necessary to respond to a request, administer a registration or complete a transaction.

Federal CAN-SPAM rules require commercial email senders to use accurate sender information, provide an opt-out mechanism and include a valid physical postal address.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, for legitimate business recordkeeping, or as required by law.

We may periodically remove inactive Wonder List records or other information that is no longer reasonably needed.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal information.

However, no website, electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

We encourage users not to send sensitive information through ordinary website forms or email unless specifically requested through an appropriate secure process.

11. Your Privacy Choices

You may contact Preschool Campers to request that we:

  • correct your contact information;

  • remove you from marketing communications;

  • provide information about personal information we maintain about you;

  • delete personal information when appropriate; or

  • address a privacy concern.

We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.

Colorado law grants covered consumers rights including access, correction, deletion and portability of personal data, as well as certain opt-out rights.

Preschool Campers may honor reasonable privacy requests even where a particular statutory requirement does not apply to us.

12. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to websites operated by community partners, educational resources, social-media platforms or other third parties.

Preschool Campers does not control those websites or their privacy practices.

We encourage visitors to review the privacy policies of websites they visit.

13. Photos, Videos and Family Stories

Preschool Campers will not treat general participation in the Wonder List as consent for promotional use of a family's identifiable photograph, video, testimonial or story.

Where Preschool Campers wishes to use identifiable family media or stories for promotional purposes, we intend to use a separate consent process as appropriate.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Preschool Campers develops, adds services, changes technology or responds to changes in law.

The current version will be posted on this website with an updated effective date.
