Childhood goes incredibly quickly. Preschool Campers gives families a place where the parent isn't sitting on the sidelines scrolling while the child plays— they're actually sharing childhood with them.

"The Why" Behind Preschool Campers

Everyone Belongs & Gets to Participate!

We learn together.

This may be our most important difference.

At most child-focused destinations, the adult’s role is transportation, supervision, or observation.

At Preschool Campers, the grown-up is part of the experience!

  • You cook together.

  • Build together.

  • Get muddy together.

  • Ask questions together.

  • Make mistakes together.

  • Discover something neither of you expected together.

“This is where we make great family memories, while my child is learning.”

Since, adults stay and participate, Preschool Campers isn't trying to replace the parent-child relationship with instruction.

We design environments that strengthen it.

There is no “right” finished product —

Curiosity is the Curriculum.

A lot of children's programming are still organized around an adult knowing the answer:

  • "Here are the instructions."

  • "Make yours look like this."

  • "Here's what you're supposed to learn."

Preschool Campers begins somewhere different:

  • “What do you notice?”

  • “What do you wonder?

  • “What do you think will happen?”

  • "How could we find out?”

  • "What materials could we use?"

A child might walk into the Water Lab to investigate flow, enter the Kitchen wondering why bread rises, build something that collapses in the Maker Lab, or discover that their experiment produced something completely different than expected.

And that's not failure.

That's the experience.

We are a Village-

YOU are one of the most important parts!

The message to a Child is:

  • Your questions matter.

  • Your ideas are worth testing.

  • You are capable.

  • There is no wrong way to wonder.

Parents & Grandparents:

  • You belong in the experience, too!

  • Get messy, make something, ask questions.

  • Your knowledge and life experience are cherished here!

  • Share what you know, and make memories alongside the children you love.

For Educators:

  • This is your learning lab, too!

  • Come experiment, observe, & collaborate!

  • Use this time to make great observations

  • Share your expertise, and rediscover what learning can look like when curiosity leads.

For Community Partners:

  • This is your space too!

  • Your community knowledge belongs here.

  • Don't just sponsor a sign—bring what you know!

  • Help turn your craft, profession, culture, story, or expertise into something families can discover together.
